I hope to have this become a recurring feature for Wednesdays. It’s about one thing, during the preceding seven days that made me hot and bothered. I owe the idea, in fact, to a client. You all should want to thank him.

I watched a video I haven’t seen in years: Duran Duran’s ‘Wild Boys.’ I remember reading that the inspiration was Mad Max and that Simon Le Bon nearly died during the filming. I also remember having a huge crush on varying members of the group at varying times.

Watching Simon in his too-tight jeans, made up, lashed to a windmill, getting dunked, turned me on. I wanted to be there. I wanted to control the windmill. I wanted to hear him begging for mercy. I loved how he struggled. I wanted to be the one making him struggle.
